Who is Susie?

Susie is a retired special education teacher. Her heart has always been dedicated to helping those facing challenges whether in education or everyday life, she believes there is always someone in need of compassion and support.  She loves spending time with her family, her church community, and when she is in need of some quiet time, you will find her on the beach collecting shells.

Why did she join the board?

Susie Keefer and her husband Ed are the founders of Miriam’s Table. After her first mission trip to the DRC, she fell in love with the children at the nutrition center she visited and worked at each day. Her heart never left and just 4 years later, Miriam’s Table was born.  She travels to Congo each year to be with her Congolese brothers and sisters.
